About Me

Well first off, my name is Jenrette. Yes, I know, it's different. I am the owner/photographer for this little business called JR Sports Photography. I'm the one you see everywhere with the camera.... Seriously, people know me as "the girl that takes all the pictures".

It all started when I became co-editor of the Radiator (our yearbook) this year, and last fall was able to get on the field to photograph our football team. Being on the field with the guys was a wonderful experience; I could feel all the emotion around me. When basketball season rolled around people asked if I would be on the court....I figured, sure, why not?

For my birthday in February, I was given my very own Canon Rebel T2i, and shortly bought a 300mm lens to go with it. Once baseball season started, I have tried to be at every home game. I've also been to a few horse shows, and those of you who know me know I am big into horses.

Growing up going to horse shows I always wanted pictures of my horse and me. And if I was lucky enough to find a photographer to take the shots, I wanted to see them as soon as possible. So, now as a "photographer" (I still think it's cool to say, even though I'm no pro) it is my goal to have my photos up on Facebook as soon as possible.

People keep asking me, "Oh are you going into photography?" or "Are you going to do this for a living?" and the answer is no, not right now. Sure, I would love for Sports Illustrated or ESPN to find me and say come take pictures for us, but I kinda doubt that's going to happen. So for the meantime, I am enjoying our baseball team and having the opportunity to take pictures at the games. I would like to do photography as a side job when I get out of college (in 4 years, oh my goodness) and maybe one day you will see my pictures in a magazine.

I hope if you are a player, you enjoy the shots I get. If you are a rider, I hope I get the shots that "us riders" always dream for. I am always open to ideas and I love learning new things about any sport. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. My goal with this is to make the players/riders happy - I want to get the shots ya'll want to see.
